About Katie
I have been teaching in some form for 9 years, specialising in piano, cello, music theory, music history, GCSE and A Level music listening preparation, and ABRSM and Trinity exam preparation. I have a track record of producing excellent results for students in these areas. While in university I specialised in Kodály music education, which is designed for classrooms - however, I am experienced and equipped to teach people of all ages, from toddlers to adults. My teaching style is flexible to each student - I will base curriculum, tasks, and material covered around your interests in the subject. If your tutoring needs are exam based, we can work using the appropriate national curriculum. Most importantly, I like to take an informal, light-hearted approach to my lessons, to ensure you feel at ease and encouraged to learn!
