I am happy to give lessons to a variety of different levels of student but would be most interested in helping a school student achieve at GCSE and A-level but happy to focus on specialised degree subjects as well. I am patient and enthusiastic in my teaching approach and like to achieve clear aims by the end of each session.
I have helped to mentor younger physics students throughout my degree as well as helping my younger siblings with their work in maths and physics and so I am very comfortable with working with a variety of age groups. Throughout my degree I have specialised in nano materials, nuclear physics, quantum physics, as well as linear algebra and mathematical methods.
Masters of Physics 2019, University of Southampton, 2:1- Modules completed include linear algebra, advanced quantum physics and thermodynamics as well as completing my Masters Project on nanomaterials and my dissertation on nuclear fusion energy.
A-levels, The Judd School- Maths (A), Physics, Chemistry, French
My teaching techniques and methods include finding out the specific areas for improvement and ensuring understanding of these through exercises and descriptions and then taking it further to include worked examples and exam technique which is essential for success in Physics.
I adapt my method to the aims and needs of my student but I think that having clear aims for each session is important so that the student can achieve their goals within allocated timeframes.
