About Jake
I've devoted much of my time to understanding math concepts from multiple perspectives. I've worked with children of all ages, including those with special needs, to ensure that concepts are understood thoroughly. I believe that math should not be seen as a chore of hardcore memorization but rather as a journey of exploration. Currently a second-year student at Smith's School of Business at Queen's University, I have taken on many leadership roles while still maintaining excellent grades, and I wish to share the most effective way to learn and master mathematical concepts.

My approach to teaching mathematics is focused on more than just imparting knowledge. I strive to help my students develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and encourage them to think analytically. Through my lessons, I aim to empower students to become better learners not just in the present, but in the future as well. Rather than simply repeating information, I work to foster independent thinking and problem-solving skills in my students. I believe that by doing so, they can develop the tools they need to succeed academically and in life beyond the classroom. Ultimately, my goal as a tutor is to help students unlock their full potential and become confident, self-directed learners.
