About Rory
My fascination with mathematics began with a love for patterns, logic, and problem-solving. Over ten years of teaching, I have guided students from foundational arithmetic to advanced calculus, helping them develop both competence and confidence. Watching learners develop clarity, independence, and analytical skills is immensely rewarding, reflecting both academic growth and personal development. I teach with patience, clarity, and adaptability, tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style and pace. I emphasise critical thinking, perseverance, and problem-solving alongside technical mastery, nurturing a deep understanding of mathematics. Outside the classroom, I explore advanced concepts, innovative teaching methods, and problem-solving strategies to refine my practice. Mathematics is not just a subject—it is a way of thinking, reasoning, and approaching challenges. Lessons are designed to strengthen problem-solving strategies, computational skills, and analytical reasoning, preparing learners for academic challenges and practical real-life applications. Beginners focus on arithmetic, fractions, decimals, and foundational algebra to build a strong base. Intermediate learners explore geometry, ratios, algebraic manipulation, and applied problem-solving. Advanced students tackle trigonometry, calculus, complex word problems, and exam-oriented practice. Lessons include exercises, real-world examples, and homework support to ensure students develop both technical proficiency and independent analytical thinking. Mathematics equips learners with logical reasoning, problem-solving ability, and intellectual resilience. Students gain confidence, focus, and the ability to approach complex challenges systematically.
