About Sam
I am currently at university studying for a degree in Mathematics at Durham in which I am currently predicted a 1st. I attended a specialist Mathematics school for A Levels where I achieved A*A*A* in Maths, Further Maths and Physics.

As I am passionate about my subject I find it easy to teach content to others: it comes naturally to me. My teaching approach depends on a student’s knowledge of the topic in question. However, I believe firstly covering the topic in depth to ensure an initial understanding followed by lots of practice with questions and examples works best.

Sam was a terrific tutor for me throughout my GCSEs. He explains things in such a logical way and is very patient when I didn’t understand things. He understands that not everyone has a ‘maths brain’ and he finds ways to help these types of people to overcome this issue. Before Sam tutored me I was a grade 5, and I ended up getting a grade 7 in my GCSE maths
Sam tutored me throughout my Maths GCSE and help me exceed my target grade. Sam is especially good at explaining questions clearly and he is always patient when I need to ask questions. Sam would simplify some of the highest grade exam questions allowing me to understand and complete them. Also, Sam is very enthusiastic about Mathematics and enjoys spending time helping others.
