Hi there! My name is Tiffany. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in pure mathematics while working as a senior network engineer and certified technical writer. In my free time, I enjoy indulging in my hobbies of writing and researching interesting topics. I am very passionate about mathematics and would love to share my knowledge and help others excel in this field. Mathematics is a language everyone should be comfortable learning. It describes how the world works and is at the foundation of everything, even philosophy. Currently, I am earning a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics and look forward to going on to earn my Ph.D in the field. While I am new at tutoring, I have experience as a network engineer in the IT field, teaching and training other engineers on new systems and solutions.
My approach to tutoring in mathematics would include establishing a current knowledge baseline and then building on it through teaching the basics of the subject area. As an engineer, I do a lot of ‘whiteboarding,’ and I would use a whiteboard and Zoom session to teach lessons. An established goal would be reached at the end of each session as determined by the student’s comfort level and learning speed.
