About Justin
I am just starting out in the professional tutoring arena, but I've tutored students who were friends and family who have achieved good results. I have an engineering degree from Rice University and a masters degree in applied mathematics from Imperial College London. I was not a naturally gifted math student, and some topics were difficult for me to grasp. I think this improves my ability to teach because I know first-hand how students can miss connections and go wrong.

I most enjoy helping people who are struggling with math but doing well in other subjects. Often times the method of teaching of math classes isn't compatible with the way people learn. Frequently, concepts are touched upon without fully explaining how they work, which leads students to confusion. By fully explaining the foundation of all the topics I help students grasp topics that previously seemed arbitrary and unclear.
