I am currently undergoing my Masters in Chemistry at Nottingham Trent University, where I am ready to begin my second year in September. My intentions are to then go on to becoming a Chemistry A level teacher. Throughout my studies I have had many tutors myself and understand that each and every student has their own individual ways around learning. I take it upon myself to adapt to each child's preferred ways of studying. Each lesson will be followed by practice questions, which I will attempt myself along side them, in the following session to ensure a full understanding. I am very easy to talk to and have been brought up around many children so find it extremely easy to get along.
This is my very first time using a tutoring site in all honesty, but I have had tutoring experience as such. I have tutored 2 girls for their GCSE's, one being last year and the other this. I had intentions of setting myself up for tutoring last year but decided to secure my place at university before beginning anything else. I helped the girls with both Maths and Chemistry lessons, following their own exam board criteria. I am still awaiting results from the sessions this year, but the feedback from the exam was extremely positive from her. The girl from the year before had recently failed her mock exams before I was asked to help tutor her, she then came out of her exams with B's in both Maths and Chemistry.
I am currently studying at Nottingham Trent University, where I am in my second year of a Masters in Chemistry (MChem) degree. I am a hardworking and committed individual, with intentions of one day working within the teaching industry. I enjoy working in a team and having the ability to get to know someone new. I can be a perfectionist with tasks at hand, I must always finish any that are set to me and in a respectable time. I am able to adapt well to different situations and learn things quickly. I am currently looking for a sandwich placement as part of my Masters, this requires me spending a year in the industry.

Flowfayre Plumbing and Heating:
2010 - February 2016
(15 High Street,
Alfreton DE55 7DR)
I joined the company in 2010 as a Saturday girl. My tasks included; Cleaning the showroom, putting away delivery notes, filing invoices and answering the phones to customers. In my more recent years, I had been trained to be a showroom manager and covered the showrooms on a weekly basis as well as dealing with customers that both come in store and over the phone. My job required a great use of computers and responsibility as I was required to deal with large amounts of money regularly. Before leaving the company I took on the task of helping to sell hot tubs for the company.
And Why Not & Late Lounge:
April 2016 – September 2016 (62 Leeming St, Mansfield NG18 1NG)
Whilst over summer I took it upon myself to have a second job. Here I worked as a bartender as well as working the door to the venue. The job consisted of working until early hours in the morning as well as handling cash and dealing with busy crowds of people. Having to remember drink orders improved my memory skills. Working in this industry you learn how to deal with difficult situations as well as developing better communication skills.
Nike Factory Store:
August 2015 – Present (Mansfield Road, South Normanton DE55 2JW)
I then took on a second job at Nike where I work as one of the ‘Athletes’ on the shop floor. Whilst working here my customer service skills rapidly improved, as I am in contact with customers throughout the whole of the day. It also improved my ability to work under pressure, due to the high amount of customers at peak hours and a large number of tasks to complete. I took on the roles of working on the tills, organizing the stockroom, being in charge of restocking the shelves and cashing up at the end of the day, proving I am very versatile and reliable. Since then I have been presented with an opportunity to join the Product Presentation team, where I am responsible for the arrangement and presentation of all the products in the store. This was a great opportunity for me to grow within the business and take on greater roles. This role requires much more team work and communications skills, as well as a good eye for detail.
Work Experience July 2012-
Little Millers Day Nursery,
Mansfield Road, Sutton in Ashfield, NG17 4JL
During my experience at Little Millers I spent my time looking after the children and entertaining them throughout the day. I also got to help the staff by tidying away paper work and helping to clean the areas after play times and dinner. I enjoyed my work experience, however a different career line has inspired me more than this one, Pharmacy.
Interests and activities:
I have been dancing since a young age, but unfortunately I had to give it up to find more time to be able to revise for exams. Instead I now spend the majority of my free time at the gym. I have previously been a tutor in my spare time helping GCSE level students. I enjoy going out to restaurants and trying new things, as well as going shopping and socialising. I like to always be busy and have something to do. I have previously taken part in the Miss Nottingham competition and raised over £1500 for charity, gaining me the Miss Nottingham Charity Queen crown. This has inspired me to continue to participate in and arrange charity events.
