About Melissa
Here is a bit about me...I studied Maths at University in Sheffield and then went on to become a teacher through Keele University. I have been working at an outstanding school in Telford (which consistently ranks one of the highest in the country!) for 7 years, other than the year I took out to go travelling around Australia and New Zealand. I am an outgoing person who loves reading, dogs and playing netball. As a teacher, I believe a fun lesson is more likely to stick and therefore I always try to provide a game or (bad) maths joke for you to work out!

I’m very passionate about Maths and love to make my lessons fun for all ages and abilities. I have lots of little rhymes to help you remember things. I have a few years of tutoring experience too and have helped students gain confidence and belief in themselves, which is super important. An hour per week with me can make such a difference to both progress and self esteem! I am happy to tutor any age from Year 7 up to Year 12 and have lots of experience teaching these ages.
