About Elaine
Throughout my teaching career I have put the needs of the individual central to my lessons. I delight in seeing my student grasp a new concept or master a skill which they have previously struggled with. I try to make all lessons as relevant and engaging as possible and fully understand the need to: listen to feedback; explore different approaches to problems; and never take myself too seriously.

i offer 1:1 lessons for students from 11 to 18 either face to face or online. A lesson typically lasts for 1 hour and consists of taught elements, modelling, practice and practical application. I endeavour to develop a greater understanding and confidence for all my students. I have taught maths in secondary school for my whole career up to and including A level. I have been an examination marker for many years and since retiring in 2020 I have tutored a number of students at A level, GCSE and KS3 with great success.
