About Kathy
Bespoke tutoring tailored to individual need, ability and goals.
Ideal for students aiming to pass Foundation Maths GCSE.
Most students I work with are struggling at school for one reason or another. Often illness, disability or additional need such as autism create barriers to fully accessing information in classes at school.
I also frequently help those who have not achieved the required 4 grade at GCSE on their first attempt. I'm particularly good at working with teenagers.
Adult learners also welcomed.
Whatever the reason you feel you need some extra help, I will work with you to find the right way for you to learn, and ensure you are equipped with the tools you need to reach your own goals.

During our first session we will discuss your experiences in learning Maths and create the beginnings of a plan for further lessons, tailored just for you/your child.
A variety of methods and strategies will be employed. Alongside this a spaced learning approach is useful to many.
The onus remains upon the learner to engage earnestly: Put the work in, you will succeed.
N.B. lessons are not one hour long. Length of lesson will range from 50 to 90 mins depending upon lesson content and learner on the day.
