My main aim when teaching someone is to make sure they fully understand what is in front of them. Sometimes it's easy to guide someone in the right direction when answering questions, but that doesn't stick with them beyond that session. I like to teach easy, memorable ways to solve specific equations that are specific to the student, because there's no one formula that works for every student.
Usually I'll start by asking you to identify your weakest areas of the subject so I can develop a learning plan for us to work through together. This plan can sometimes be for over the course of one session, if the student is only needing help in a small subject area. Though preferably we would work through the students strongest areas first to make sure that they're confident with them, before spending a few sessions working on their weakest subject areas.
Having passed A-Level Maths with an A and recently attending University to study Mathematics, I previously tutored Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3 and GCSE Maths in London I've helped several students towards a better understanding of the subject. I aim to at least improve a students grade by two levels, where possible.
I am willing to travel further than the 5KM listed, providing the extra cost of travel will be covered.
