About Finbarr
I’m Mr Biscoe-Taylor, a fully qualified, experienced Maths teacher with over a decade of classroom and tutoring experience. I’m currently Head of Maths at an independent school and have taught in a wide range of settings, including mainstream comprehensives and schools for students with ASD.
I hold a First-Class Degree in Mathematics and Education, a PGCE in Secondary Maths, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Advanced Mathematics. I’m also working towards a Masters in Professional Education at the University of Warwick.
Over the years, I’ve developed the TRIP Maths system — a structured, exam-focused revision and tutoring approach that’s helped hundreds of students build confidence, develop independence, and achieve excellent results.

Perfect! Finbarr is amazing! My Daughters confidence in Maths has increased dramatically. Finbarr has been really adaptable to my needs this year. He has provided support in the areas I have struggled to master and given me lots of topic specific resources to help me revise on these areas for my exams. I achieved an A in my AS exams and hope to keep this up with his help in A2 maths.
I was struggling with a few maths concepts and got a D in my practice tests before coming to Fin. Fin's tutoring provided the clarity and understanding to push me across the line to get the pass that I desired. I cannot recommend Fin highly enough.
I was struggling to understand all the new topics this year because my teachers style didn't suit me. I wanted to make sure I got in a good set next year and Fin helped me to practice the topics I struggled with. He explained things in a way that I understood and helped me get a really good mark in my end of year test.
