About Stanley
Hi, my name is Stanley and I am currently studying Computer Science at the University of Surrey, where I am on track to achieve a First Class degree.
I have always enjoyed maths and problem-solving, and I love helping students understand topics that they may initially find difficult. Over several years of tutoring, I have worked with both primary and secondary students, helping them build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve their academic goals.
My approach is centred around making maths simpler and less intimidating. I focus on explaining concepts step-by-step, adapting each lesson to the student's current level and school curriculum, and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
I tutor students from Year 6 to Year 11, including support with school work, exam preparation, GCSE maths, and building stronger foundations.
I want to teach because I know how much of a difference the right explanation and encouragement can make. Maths can often feel frustrating when a student feels stuck, but with the right support it can become much more manageable, and even enjoyable.
I look forward to helping students grow in confidence and reach their potential.
