My teaching method would be largely based upon positive reinforcement, given that this has been proven to improve both motivation and results in students. Additionally, I would consider the purpose of my employment, i.e whether a tutor is needed in order to strengthen a child's general maths skills or whether it is for a specific purpose (i.e for an entrance exam, gcse exam etc.). Ultimately I will aim to always explain difficult topics in simple ways that ensure the child is capable of achieving their full potential.
