I have spent an innumerable amount of time tutoring peers, family members and strangers in physics. Consequently, I now wish to take my passion for teaching students understand and appreciate these fields to a professional level. My methodology varies per individual: Initially, I engage in conversation with the student with the purpose of understanding their knowledge, strengths and weaknesses on the topic of discussion. Then, based upon the provided information, I formulate sequential and gradual lessons to help them start from what they know towards what they wish to know.
My experience as a tutor started off with my family: I taught my siblings mathematics varying from middle-school to university levels. In doing so, I realized I genuinely enjoy teaching and helping others learn--especially at a subject feared by many either due to its difficulty or the lack of passion from their instructor. Consequently, I started tutoring friends, then through friends, strangers. Now I wish to take this experience from just a hobby to a profession.
In short, it would be student- driven, interactive, never bookish and most important of all imbues fun in learning.
