Media student with a 12 year piano experience and theory knowledge. Looking to inspire and bring joy to beginners looking to learn the piano and enjoy music.

I'm 19 years old, and a 2nd-year Photography and Film student studying at the University of Westminster. I have played piano since I was 7 years old. I reached grade 7 in both Piano and Clarinet, and play a few chords on the guitar every now and then. I also have grade 5 theory, so my knowledge broadens both practically and theoretically. I am new to teaching but would love the opportunity to teach what I know to a beginner starting out. I love music, and playing the piano is something that can become a lifetime skill and am enjoyment that can be shared with others.

I teach music reading, piano, music theory, musical keyboard. For the level(s)advanced, professional, 3rd year, 4th year, graduate, doctorate.
I give lessons in person, at the student's home.

Rob's Experience

ABRSM Grade 7 Piano
Trinity Grade 7 Clarinet
ABRSM Grade 5 Theory
A Level Music Technology (C)
GCSE Music (A)

I am passionate about music and encouraging others to enjoy their instrument and to have fun learning the piano. I'm still learning myself, so I don't consider my self an expert, but I would love the opportunity to share my passion with others.

Rob's CV

I am a highly driven and socially aware media student looking to broaden my knowledge of the media industry and apply my proven skills to clients. Through my work in photography, film, and sound I can apply interdisciplinary skillsets to the wider industry, and I am actively developing my technical skills to add quality to client work. I have a full and clean UK driving license and I'm willing to travel long distances for work. I currently don't own a car, living in London.

Education/Qualifications:

2016-2019: BA (hons) Contemporary Media Practice University of Westminster
2014-2016: A Level (3 A*-Cs) St. Bedes School, Redhill Surrey
Including a (C) in Music Technology, and (A) in Production
2009-2014: GCSE (10 A*-Cs) Woodcote High School, Coulsdon Surrey
Including an A in Music

2009-2015: Grade 7: Piano (ABRSM) and Clarinet (Trinity)

Work Experience:

KWM - The Renewal 10th anniversary music concert/fundraiser- CO. (Jan 2018). This was a music event in which I filmed crowd reactions for a promotional short film. With the music in my ears, it was my responsibility to capture the reactions of enthusiastic audiences which best displayed the mood of the space.
Co-Mission - charitable organisation - promotional Christmas Film - Gaffer (Dec 2017). This was a day-long project, in which I was responsible for lighting and production for a short promotional film. It was a narrative based project involving actors, with a religious festive theme.
The Globe Church - stills for website - Photographer (Sep 2017). I volunteered for this church project by taking portraits of the leadership team at this church. The role I had was to take headshots outside Borough Market for their website.
Race Retro - a rally car event at Stoneleigh Park - short film for YouTube - CO. (Feb 2017). A smaller project, involving myself and another university student making a short film for an individual passionate for this historic racing competition based in Birmingham. I was a camera operator with a role in capturing the car's racing around the track. The final film was displayed on a YouTube channel.
Blueprint Film - promotional video for the 'Pizza Express Moments' campaign - Runner (Aug 2015). This was a commercial video for Pizza Express on behalf of Blueprint Film. My role was being a runner and to set the equipment up in the restaurant. This was an early experience for me and I learned a lot about the production environment and client work.

Paid Employment: Cunnings Recording Associates - sound installation assistant (2014 - )

Other: Translunar (2018) - film score composer for a sci-fi motion graphics film, incorporating both non-diegetic and diegetic sound for a cinematic experience.
