As a student myself I often find the most effective way to learn and memorise is to work through practice questions. I often teach by checking the student has a base understanding of the topic before going through practice questions with them until they get to the stage where they are able to complete the problems independently. I find this works best as this maintains the student's attention through their involvement.
I achieved a grade 9 (=A**) at Maths GSCE and and A at Maths A level. My first tutoring job was two years ago. I have previously tutored students in Maths and Science from SATs level up to GCSE. I am currently in my first year of Medical School at Southampton University.
