About Irene
I am a medical student. I have a few years experience as a tutor and my own experience of studying these subjects- I know the subject and where candidates often lose marks.
I tutor online usually for 1 hour, but I can offer shorter or longer sessions if suitable.
My years of experience as a tutor helps me to explain the content in a way that is easier to understand for those who feel a bit lost - the content can be a bit overwhelming and confusing. Spending time one-to-one at the student's pace makes such a difference to understanding and confidence.
Everyone is different and so the tuition sessions will adapt and change to suit the individual, identifying and strengthening weaknesses etc.
many candidates who seemed to know a lot of science failed to get good marks due to poor exam technique. Due to lack of time in school this is often not emphasised and practised. In tuition sessions we can work on this much more, talking over why marks are lost, what to look for in the questions etc - this takes time and practice.

I am available anytime throughout the year.
Everyone is different, learns differently and needs help in different areas and different ways. I use my experience as a tutor and a student who had to learn these subjects to provide lessons that suit the needs of each individual student.
As well as covering the subject content I also work on exam and revision skills - important for improving grades and helpful for other subjects, useful skills now and in the future. I have helped students improve their grades, some of them initially not keen on science or maths as a subject, which is no problem as long as they put in a fair effort.
I focus on GCSE and Alevel- biology, chemistry, maths and P.E and only do online.
I am available Tuesday to Friday afternoons and all day on the weekends
