About Kate
I am currently a medical student who achieved high grades at both GCSE and A-levels and I am looking to help other students to perform as well. I am a patient and friendly person and am prepared to put in the effort to help my students achieve their target grades and above. I will aim to help students become more confident on a topic or subject, helping them to gain knowledge and then apply this in questions to succeed in exams. I thoroughly enjoy maths, sciences and geography and I hope I can pass down this passion for the subjects to my students as well. Prior to starting university, I took part in many volunteering opportunities which I believe have improved my communication and teamwork skills so I am confident that I can communicate and teach my students effectively whilst also having a positive rapport.

I will aim to help students become more confident on a topic or subject, helping them to gain knowledge and then apply this in questions to succeed in exams. I do this by first laying out everything that the student knows, often in the form of a mindmap, then I build upon this knowledge during the lesson and consolidate it using practice questions that are good for exam technique and practice.
