About Alex

I’m a first-year medical student at TCD (about to be second year) and I got 625 in my leaving cert and 191 in my HPAT. I remember going to grinds for math, and it significantly boosted my result. I realized just how helpful tutoring was when I realized that, after the exams were over, I was by far the most confident about my performance in math, the one subject I’d had grinds for. And, sure enough, I ended up with 100%, something I couldn’t have done on my own with the time I had. I realized I’m able to pass on my knowledge, not just for math, but for all the subjects I succeeded in. I started tutoring a few months ago, and everything I thought I’d like about it has been even more rewarding than I imagined! It’s now a passion of mine and I hope to help as many students as possible do the best they can.

About the lesson

Hey! My name is Alex and I am a medical student at Trinity. I got H1s in maths, Spanish, French, Russian, biology and chemistry in 2024, and 97th percentile in the HPAT. I offer grinds for all of these, and share exactly what you need to know to have the same success I did. I know exactly what it takes. Even a few lessons with me could make a huge difference to your grades. I’ll make sure you maximise your strengths and improve your weaknesses in any subject you cover with me. Whatever your dream course is, I’ll do my best to help you get it!
