About Alex
I’m a first-year medical student at TCD (about to be second year) and I got 625 in my leaving cert and 191 in my HPAT. I remember going to grinds for math, and it significantly boosted my result. I realized just how helpful tutoring was when I realized that, after the exams were over, I was by far the most confident about my performance in math, the one subject I’d had grinds for. And, sure enough, I ended up with 100%, something I couldn’t have done on my own with the time I had. I realized I’m able to pass on my knowledge, not just for math, but for all the subjects I succeeded in. I started tutoring a few months ago, and everything I thought I’d like about it has been even more rewarding than I imagined! It’s now a passion of mine and I hope to help as many students as possible do the best they can.

Hey! My name is Alex and I am a medical student at Trinity. I got H1s in maths, Spanish, French, Russian, biology and chemistry in 2024, and 97th percentile in the HPAT. I offer grinds for all of these, and share exactly what you need to know to have the same success I did. I know exactly what it takes. Even a few lessons with me could make a huge difference to your grades. I’ll make sure you maximise your strengths and improve your weaknesses in any subject you cover with me. Alex is a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor who made sure that I understood the difficult topics while I was doing my leaving cert. I would highly recommend him for any student who wants great value for money.
Alex is a fellow student of mine in Trinity College Dublin studying medicine and has been incredibly helpful to me and many others in helping to explain difficult calculations required for our course, always being able to explain things in a way instantly understandable by everyone, capturing the most subtle nuances of the topic while not diminishing it's complexity. Alex is one of the most mathematicaly talented people I know but moreover he is not only just willing and more than capable of helping but evidently takes immense pleasure from helping others in their understanding, and I can think of few more suitable to teach.
