About Nat
Hello, I’m Nat, a doctor working in the NHS. I qualified with an MBChB from the University of Birmingham, where I also completed an intercalated BSc in Psychological Medicine and graduated with first-class honours. At school I achieved A* grades in A-level Biology and Chemistry.
I’ve enjoyed teaching since my own student days. I’ve tutored A-level sciences online for five years, and I’ve taught medical students at the bedside throughout university and my foundation training. I also deliver teaching sessions to colleagues in hospital.
What I enjoy most is helping students see how interesting and rewarding medicine can be once you meet it through real patients, not only textbooks. My lessons are friendly and relaxed, and no question is too small. Whether you’re preparing for OSCEs and finals or working through A-level Biology and Chemistry, I’ll help you build real understanding and the confidence that goes with it.

I’m a practising NHS doctor, with an MBChB from the University of Birmingham and an intercalated first-class BSc in Psychological Medicine. I achieved A* grades in A-level Biology and Chemistry, and I’ve been tutoring online for five years. I’ve also taught medical students at the bedside throughout university and my foundation training, including near-peer teaching of third-year students, and I regularly deliver teaching sessions to colleagues in hospital.
Who my lessons are for: undergraduate medical students (clinical skills, OSCE preparation, and general revision for finals and the UKMLA), and A-level students studying Biology, Chemistry and preparing for medical school interviews.
How I teach: I teach through real patients and cases, the practical, curious kind of teaching I wanted more of as a student, and I use metaphors and examples to make difficult ideas stick. For clinical skills, I demonstrate a station briefly and then hand it over to you to try, so you practise, get feedback and build confidence rather than just listening. I check your understanding often, and I’ll happily go back over anything, because I know many students are reluctant to ask a teacher to slow down. I’m also glad to build lessons around the topics you find hardest.
Lessons: typically 50 minutes, online only, and tailored to your level and your exam. Please get in touch with a short message about what you’d like to work on, and I’ll suggest a plan for our first session.
