I'm qualified Science and Maths teacher. I help students to understand the key concepts of Science and Maths and then guide students to practise applying them to solve problems.

I tutor GCSE Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and A-level Maths and Physics.

My fee is £30.00 per hour. I travel to you and there is usually no charge for this unless you live more than 15 miles from Leighton Buzzard.
- Where do you teach?
All sessions are held at the student's home. I cover Leighton Buzzard, Aylesbury, Tring, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Dunstable and surrounding villages.
- When are you available?
I tutor weekday afternoons and evenings during terms time, and I am also available weekdays during the Half Terms and Easter.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I tutor secondary school students for KS3, GCSE and A Level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I tutor GCSE (or iGCSE) Maths and Science and A-level Maths and Physics, following any exam board.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
The GCSE Science curriculum is packed and very often there can be insufficient lesson time available in school for students to fully understand and get to grips with the concepts of Science. I can explain these concepts in a variety of ways to match how my students learn best to make sure my students grasp the fundamental ideas. Examiners are keen on the How Science Works questions, which test understanding of the methods of Science, and they're the ones students often get wrong.
To do well at GCSE Maths requires practising lots of questions, once you have understood the maths process you need to solve the particular type of question. For those doing A-level Maths, yes, it really is that much harder than GCSE. It requires a step-up in level, but also in persistence.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I am a qualified teacher whose teaching experience includes having taught in a top grammar school in Bucks
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes, issued June 2014.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Institute of Physics and the Institute for Learning.
• BA Natural Sciences
• Enhanced DBS Certificate
