- Classes
We provide professional English, maths and science tuition. Pupils receive 1:1 tuition, and undertake practice drills and independent work during 1hr 20min sessions.
All children are given a free initial assessment. If you decide to take up the tuition sessions, an individual learning programme is designed based on the outcomes of the assessment and the needs of the child. Students typically attend the centre once per week and are given a short piece of homework to consolidate what they learn.
Our teaching programmes consist of several activities that are targeted to address a particular child's needs. Students attending our classes feel more confident and better equipped to succeed at school. Whether your child needs extra support or needs pushing on to stay ahead, our specialist tutors and calm, well resourced learning environment will help.

We typically cater for children of ages of 6-16 but will make special arrangements for others that fall outside this age group.

£27 per 1hr 20min session (equivalent to ~£20 ph).
- Centre Director(s)
Gemma Hoban: Gemma is our English specialist. She has taught for 12 years at both primary and secondary level. Gemma also tutored at a Kip McGrath centre for 2 years before deciding to open her own centre in York.
Michael Hoban: Michael oversees the maths and science provision. He has been a secondary teacher for 15 years and has held several responsibility positions including head of science.
