About Eli
I have always been a wordy person: I like to read, I like to write, and class discussions were always one of my favorite ways to spend time in school. However, I know not everyone is that way. The most important thing to me is that everyone I teach learns how to advocate for themself in their writing and their speaking, and that they can read anything put in front of them and understand it fully. I like to find out where students' strengths are and their interests so I can make sure my lessons feel like a good use of time and are engaging.

I plan all of my lessons for the specific students I am teaching. I make sure the lessons are interesting to my students and teach skills that will be valuable to everyone inside and outside of school.
I like to give my students time to work on assignments in class so they have less to do at home and can ask me questions while they work.
I mostly teach high school, but I work with both advanced and lower-level students.
I am very flexible and willing to work with every students' needs.
