About Anne-Sofie
When working as a teacher I am not only focusing on helping my students achieve their goals and build confidence, but also to enjoy the process realising their potential - finding our lessons not only challenging but fun, creative and rewarding too.
Recently graduated, I started tutoring in Brighton in 2019. I currently tutor many regular students of different ages, levels from classical to rock.
Having had voice lessons for over a decade I know how much influence good and bad teachers have on our progress. That is why my main focus is to tailor every lesson to suit the individual student in a way they find most useful and inspiring.
Alongside my work as a singing teacher, I'm a freelance opera singer having received critical acclaim for my appearances in various operas in both UK and Denmark along with being a sought-after oratorio- and lieder soloist.

By introducing the 3-part learning concept
"Mind / Body / Voice" my teaching focuses on unlocking, exploring and expanding your voice and musical potential:
Mind: Thought/idea
Body: Sensation, support, engagement
Voice: Your personal, true, free sound when the body and the mind are fully connected.
If you are a beginner I can help you open up your voice, discover your true sound and strengthen your support through different exercises and working in musical genres of your interest (pop, classical, opera, folk, r'n'b).
If you are more advanced we can work on making your voice more seamless through the registers, expand the sound dynamics, diction different in languages (English, Scandinavian, German, Italian and French) and musical expression.
