About Cathy
Holding a degree from the Royal College of Music rarely prepares one for the chaotic joy of teaching language to absolute beginners. It is a strange pivot to go from concert halls to conjugation, but 8 years of experience has taught me that music and linguistics are cousins.
I have spent my career helping 56 students grasp everything from basic vocabulary building and pronunciation to the subtle differences between Latin American and Castilian variants. My approach relies on heavy doses of cultural context and idioms to make the language feel alive rather than robotic. We will tackle the complexities of grammar, role play and dialogue practice, and exam preparation for the DELE together.
