My teaching methods involve using sources and historical texts or items as the central focus of the lesson. I will use them as physical elements out of which a historical narrative can be taught and analysed. They are particularly engaging as they offer a physical and ‘real’ element to lessons which allows one to more easily access and engage with the past.
I have a degree in History from the University of East Anglia. I study the history of Europe and specialise in the French Revolution. I particularly enjoy teaching the writing of history, source analysis, and the study of histiographical writing.
