About Pantazis

I am a Modern Greek Language teacher in Thessaloniki, Greece, and I give private lessons on Skype. I have a BA in Greek Language and Literature (specialization in Classics) from the University of Ioannina (Greece). In 2015, I completed an internship as a teacher of Modern Greek at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in 2017, I carried out a second internship by teaching Modern Greek at the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in Bucharest, Romania. Moreover, in Bucharest I acted as an examiner in the oral modules for the Greek Language certification (May 2017). For 5 years, I have been giving private lessons not only to foreigners but also to Greek High School students. Recently, I have taught the basics of Biblical (Koine) Greek. I speak English very well and French (at an intermediate level). I teach both in English and French.

About the lesson

I base my classes on the communicative approach (communication skills, different aspects of language) and the genre approach (reading and comprehension of texts). Grammar is always very important in order to acquire the language. I create my own educational material and I use books from the Universities of Athens and Thessaloniki. To students of B1 to C2 level I explain everything in Greek. Of course, the explanation can also be accomplished both in English and French.

Bon apprentissage ;-)
