About Athena
My love for guitar began through a passion for performance, creativity, and musical exploration. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance before earning a PhD in Guitar Performance and Pedagogy. Over the past 12 years, I have guided students through different stages of their musical development.
I enjoy teaching because every student brings unique interests and goals to the learning process. My teaching approach combines structure, encouragement, and adaptability to help learners succeed. Every lesson is designed to support both technical improvement and artistic growth.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, composing, and studying a wide range of musical styles. These experiences help me bring fresh inspiration into lessons. Helping students become confident musicians remains one of the most fulfilling parts of my career.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students develop strong technical abilities while exploring creativity and musical expression. Topics such as chord progressions, rhythm techniques, fingerstyle playing, scales, improvisation, ear training, solo development, and song performance are taught through structured learning and practical application. I focus on helping learners become confident and versatile musicians.
Each lesson is customised according to the student’s skill level, interests, and goals. Beginners build strong foundations through fundamental exercises and simple repertoire, while advanced learners refine technique, musical interpretation, and performance preparation. Consistent practice and detailed feedback help students progress steadily.
I encourage students to approach learning with curiosity, patience, and dedication. Musical growth becomes more enjoyable when learners can clearly see their improvement over time. My goal is to help students develop confidence, technical skill, and a lasting connection to music.
