About Sophie
I am a second year French German and Spanish student at Newcastle University and I`m passionate about learning languages and helping others to do so. I have been studying French and German for 9 years and achieved A*s in my A levels as well as a scholarship for my first year uni grades. I have also lived and worked in France for a year and volunteered in Germany over the summer, further improving my fluency.

I have previously worked as a tutor for RTQ Tuition in Hebden Bridge, where I taught French as well as English Maths and Verbal Reasoning to 11 year olds for grammar school entrance exams. I have also privately tutored GCSE French and German. I am a very friendly and bubbly person and I would like to base lessons around speaking and using natural, conversational French which is a skill often missed out on in school lessons. I would also focus on writing, reading, grammar and listening skills, providing you with my own resources as well as helping you with your own work (e.g. past exam papers) and adapting my lessons to your own needs.
