About Georgia
I am a graduate in French Studies with Arabic from the University of Warwick and I hope to start a Master's in International Development this September.
From a young age I've been passionate about learning foreign languages and different cultures and love to share this passion in order to encourage others to see the beauty in being able to communicate with and understand someone who doesn't share the same mother tongue.
I am an extroverted person who motivates, encourages and who takes great pleasure in seeing someone improve their language skills and gain confidence. I very much enjoy teaching and believe it is one, if not the most rewarding job possible.
I have lived in France twice, and most recently I was an English language assistant in 2 primary schools in Paris. I taught and prepared lessons for children ranging from 6 - 10 years old. I also ran an after school English club and an English choir.
In addition, I worked as a private English tutor for numerous students ranging from 3 - 40 years old.
I have a level CE1/CE2 in the French language. I'm currently doing my TEFL qualification.

I base my lessons and adapt to the needs of the individual student, for example their level, age or interests.
In general I try to make my students speak as much as possible, whether through games, songs or general discussion. I also try to bring a cultural element to the lessons so that the student can relate to a certain subject - this could range from French cuisine or school life to socio-political issues such as secularism in France. I would then base oral, listening and writing tasks on these specific topics. Every lesson new vocabulary will be introduced and depending on the age/level of the student, written exercises will be offered to reinforce it.
