About Qiongqi
Hi, I am a master student who studies at the University of Southampton. My major is Human resources management and I live in the UK for 3 years. My native language is Mandarin. I have lived in China for 20 years and completed my undergraduate degree in China. I have got a part-time experience in education institution in China, as a primary school language teacher, this experience is very helpful for me because this helps me to establish a healthy and harmonious relationship with students. I always treat my students as my family and friends, it is nice to have communications with them.

My lessons depend on the individual needs of the students whether it is for preparation for an exam or for a business trip, My tutoring covers pronunciation, conversations, grammar, reading, culture and simplified Chinese character writing. I can teach at my own house or that of the students. I tailor my teaching to satisfy the individual needs of learners. This involves taking account of their reasons for learning Mandarin and their aspirations, and the learning styles that work best for them. Rather than stick rigidly to a standard course, I will vary the approaches to maintain interest and help with the learning process. Techniques can include question and answer sessions, use of flashcards, role-play, games, presentations, audio-visual materials and handouts.
