About Joshua
I hold a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Infection Biology and currently work in biomedical research. My research experience includes malaria transmission, parasitology, immunology and gene therapy. I teach GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate biology, helping students understand the biological processes behind the material rather than relying on memorisation alone. Whether preparing for exams or building confidence in a difficult topic, my aim is to make biology clearer, more approachable and more interesting.

Lessons are tailored to the student's goals, whether that is improving confidence, preparing for GCSE or A-Level examinations, strengthening university coursework, or developing a deeper understanding of biology. I focus on building understanding of biological processes rather than memorisation alone, helping students tackle unfamiliar questions and apply their knowledge effectively. Sessions can cover topics including cell biology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, infectious disease, and parasitology. Students are encouraged to bring questions, past papers, or topics they find challenging, and we will work through them together in a structured and supportive environment.
