About Mukund

99.60 ATAR | DUX of Castle Hill High | Math & Economics Tutoring __________________________________

Hi, my name is Mukund and I’m offering online or in person (within hills area) math and economics tutoring for high school students both in group or one-on-one settings. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Computer Science and Commerce (finance) at UNSW and since graduating in 2021 I’ve had more than 3+ years of tutoring experience for HSC and university courses having tutored over 100+ students. Having achieved an HSC ex1 mathematics mark of 97 and an internal HSC economics mark of 100, I have an extremely strong passion and understanding for these subjects and how to excel in them within high school.

Why did I decide to become a tutor?

I was one day in your shoes having trial and tested various different tutoring centers, and I’ve come to experience first-hand the personal impact quality tutors can have on a student through mentorship within and beyond high school. As such, having personally benefited from this guidance I wish to give back by bridging the gap between tutoring and personalized mentorship, by sharing my experiences and guiding new and upcoming HSC students. Moreover, I have a strong passion for the subjects I teach having studied them at university and pursuing them further through relevant industry experience.

Experience:
- Tutored over 100+ students for both group and individual lessons privately and at coaching centers
- Finance tutor at UNSW
- Security services operations trainee at JP Morgan
- Corporate advisory intern
- Investment banking intern
- Wharton business school exchange

Teaching philosophy and approach:

Having attended various tutoring centers, I have found that the most effective tutors are those who have excelled in the HSC themselves and possess a deep understanding of the syllabus, along with proven study strategies to maximize success during these crucial years. As a former HSC student who has been in your shoes, my goal is to share my experiences and knowledge with my students, focusing on high-yield content and tailored preparation to help you achieve outstanding academic performance.

I strive to ensure that my students develop a thorough, core understanding of the theory and syllabus, going beyond simple memorisation. Additionally, I provide you with study and exam techniques—strategies essential for excelling in exams that go beyond just mastering the theory content.

To support your learning, I offer a comprehensive range of resources, including state-ranking essays, detailed notes, and other valuable materials. At its core, however, I believe that effective tutoring stems from mentorship and genuine engagement which I seek to provide.

With a strong passion for the subjects I teach and relevant industry experience, I aim to cater to your unique needs. Beyond academics, I strive to provide mentorship by guiding you through the transition from high school to university, providing guidance on potential internship and career prospects beyond high school.

- Weekly personalised one-on-one or group tutoring services tailored to address students' strengths and weaknesses whilst seamlessly integrating the curriculum and school-specific assessments to ensure they receive the most enriching experience that prepares them for formal exams.
