About Sandra
Hello! My name is Sandra, and I am a passionate educator with over 7 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I hold a Bachelor of Education (TESOL) and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Management.
One of the reasons I love teaching languages is that I am also a language learner myself. Besides teaching English, Mandarin, and Japanese, I continue to study Korean and Japanese to improve my own proficiency. Being a student as well as a teacher helps me understand the challenges of learning a new language, from memorizing vocabulary to building confidence in speaking. It reminds me that learning is a lifelong journey, and I strive to make that journey enjoyable and encouraging for my students.
I teach learners of all ages, from primary school students to adults, and I have experience working with students from different cultural backgrounds, including Korean learners. My lessons are patient, interactive, and tailored to each student's goals and learning style.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each learner's needs, goals, and learning style. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, encouraging active participation, and creating a supportive learning environment. I use a combination of guided practice, interactive activities, real-life examples, and targeted exercises to help students develop their language skills effectively.
My lessons typically last between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the student's age, level, and learning objectives. I teach learners of all ages and proficiency levels, including primary school students, secondary school students, university students, and adults.
I have over 7 years of tutoring experience teaching English, Mandarin, and Japanese. I also specialize in IGCSE Mandarin and HSK preparation, helping students improve their language proficiency and achieve their academic goals. In addition, I have experience teaching Korean students English and Chinese. As I can communicate in conversational Korean, I am able to provide additional language support when needed, making lessons more accessible and comfortable for Korean learners.
I hold a Bachelor of Education (TESOL) and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Management. My goal is not only to help students achieve academic success but also to develop their confidence, communication skills, and lifelong love of learning.
