About Antonia
I wasn't always a language teacher. I have studied marketing and worked as a project manager in international, multilingual locations. My favorite part of the job was always training individuals and teams. In the course of my 15-year experience in the corporate world, I have created a plethora of training material and delivered training sessions in different countries and multiple languages (Spanish, Dutch, English). Now that I am a mom, I prefer to work fewer hours and closer to home. I do therefore teach Spanish at a local school. It is so much fun! I am looking for some extra teaching hours to supplement my income. I love teaching kids, but I can also teach adults at basic and intermediate levels.

I have learned 4 foreign languages, most of them as an adult, and I have enjoyed the process. Learning a language can be fun and I believe that you don't have to know perfect grammar before you are able to communicate. In my opinion, beginners should focus on learning basic verbs, vocabulary, and structures while immediately putting them into practice. Like that they can quickly enjoy the benefits of being conversational, as opposed to focusing too much on detailed conjugations and complicated exceptions. There is a big difference between learning a language and actually speaking it, I believe I can help you do the latter.
