About Iuri

I am a Brazilian Rubik's Cube solver, winner of multiple Brazilian Rubik's Cube championships in 3 different events (One-handed, 3x3x3, and 2x2x2), as well as the One-handed South American record holder from 2017 to 2024. I have been in the top 10 in the One-handed average world rankings multiple times, with my highest placement being 4th. I also placed 5th in the 2019 Rubik's Cube World Championship, and have been in close contact with high-level Roux solvers through most of my cubing career. I have coached Kian Mansour on the way to his One-handed world record, as well as participated in the development of EOLR and pioneered LB based FB for One-handed. I'm also the first person to successfully implement eidos on OH LSE.

About the lesson

Hi! I've been coaching Rubik's Cube for 7 years, ranging from teaching friends how to first solve their Rubik's Cube, to coaching a One-Handed World Record holder.

I specialize on the Roux method for solving the standard 3x3x3 Rubik's cube, however, I'm also sub 11 with the more common CFOP method, as well as other types of cube (2x2x2, 4x4x4, 5x5x5, Skewb).

My specialty is coaching for Rubik's cube competitions. Cubing can be a lot of fun, but sometimes, when stagnation kicks in, frustration and doubt can take the place of the social and puzzling aspects of the cube. I believe any barrier can be overcome, and that the magic of the Rubik's cube doesn't have to die because of poor guidance, and that's what I work on in my sessions.
