About Philip
This is definitely a safe space where you can be yourself. I'm always interested to hear what my students are inspired by. It helps to keep me curious about new music too! The overall vibe is friendly, relaxed, but ambitious. I have amps, pedals and guitars that you can use and tinker around with here or you are welcome to bring your own. I have a degree in music and a PGCE teaching qualification - but I've played in loads of bands and also done a lot of composition work.

I'll teach you "properly" but we'll have fun at the same time. I spend some time getting to know your musical preferences. My own musical taste is vast! Absolute beginner to advanced level taught. I'll give you the skills to understand what you're playing to build your confidence and independence. I have a huge amount of experience teaching children and young people. I have an up-to-date DBS certificate and I'm trained in safeguarding children and young people.
