About Belinda
I am a professional musician and have played the Cello, the Piano and the Recorder since a young age. I am passionate about music and love inspiring this ability within others.
As a teacher in various different spheres (also within general education, ESOL and mindfulness), I take a person-centred approach and adapt my methods to suit their learning style and needs.
I believe in making lessons as varied as possible to maintain motivation and interest.
I always provide detailed practice notes so that it is made clear as to what to work on in between lessons.

I take a 'tripod' approach to all lessons by including some technique, theory and musicianship: in other words we need a strong technique to carry our playing forward, we need to understand theory to decode musical language and we always need an element of real playing in every lesson.
I can teach either half hour long or hour long lessons depending on your preference.
I have a PGCE with several years classroom teaching experience, along with two other teaching certifications (in ESOL and Mindfulness). I have been teaching the instruments for over twenty years.
I can teach all ages and abilities from beginners to advanced.
