About Mackenzie
Hi there! My name is Mack, I'm an electronic music producer, sound designer, and ITB engineer with 13 years of experience as a producer and a sound design graduate. I've mixed metal records, performed live sessions, made dubstep, house, hip hop (pretty much every electronic genre), designed sample packs and made a business out of doing so, and I've lived in Bristol for the last 4 years.
There are many individual disciplines to master in the pursuit of making music, and as a beginner, it can feel overwhelming to learn them all. I believe in a simple, intuitive approach, one step at a time, where I can answer all your burning questions - God knows I had a lot when I was starting!

Lessons will be 1-3 hours, depending on your needs. I offer in-person lessons within Bristol, either at your home or a public place, though I would recommend using my home as I have a (work in progress) studio room, and you can learn to use cool bits of gear such as a modular synth and a digital mixing console!
Whether you are just starting out and have just downloaded your first DAW, or you've been producing for years and want to obtain that professional quality sound for your electronic music, I am always here to help. I primarily work in FL Studio myself, but have an understanding of all DAWs and will teach more fundamentals that apply to all DAWs and user styles.
Lessons can range from running through your songs and discussing mixing and songwriting, learning technical sound design, or simply starting an electronic song from scratch, and going through writing, sound design, production, mixing and mastering - I can even provide help with releasing music, marketing, and getting streams! Of course, the more you want to cover, the more lessons will be required.
