About Kai
I am currently a PhD student at the University of Liverpool, studying ocean wave physics. I like to think I have an interesting perspective on maths, its uses and how to explain complex ideas logically and clearly.
Having studied maths both at GCSE level and A-Level, I understand the high demands placed on students to succeed. Having tutored trumpet for 5 years, I know how to inspire students as I was when I was first learning.
My undergraduate in Economics, and now Physics, moves further than memorisation to application (which is where I feel the real reward lies).

I have 5 years of experience tutoring trumpet to complete beginners. If you have never played before, it is a steep learning curve! So whilst I am now teaching maths, my main focus in each lesson is enjoyment and making the learning process as rewarding as possible!
Maths is tricky. And having spent years as a child not understanding some maths myself, I understand the importance of explaining a concept or idea in the way that suits the student, not the teacher.
My lessons can range from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how you prefer to learn. I am most comfortable teaching GCSE and A-level maths.
