About Tom
I am doing a degree in songwriting and have been teaching for the last four years with the age of the student ranging from 6-38. I attained my grade 8 in guitar when I was 13.
I have taught 15 students in total, with many achieving grades. A student of mine recently acquired his grade 8 which was a particular success after he wanted to methodically work through each grade which took a few years.

I like to teach how my students like to be taught. The best results come when the student is enjoying the lesson. Theres no point teaching scales to someone who doesn't want to learn scales; or teaching metal to someone wanting to work through classical grades. If you want to learn covers of songs so you can sit in your room/go to an open mic and sing some songs; I'm more than happy to do that. If you want to methodically compose a grade 8 jazz solo, we can do that too. If you're happy I'm happy.
