About Elinor
I have been involved with music for over a decade, and have a GCSE in Music and Grade 5 Theory certificated, and have gained Grade 7 piano and Grade 8 clarinet as well as playing above Grade 6 standard flute. I have experience teaching beginners and consolidating their knowledge as both their only teacher and as support for another tutor.

I strongly believe in positive reinforcement, and ensuring that the student enjoys their lessons and understands how important they are. I encourage students to ask questions when they do not understand something, and no question is silly. I provide quality feedback to help students understand errors and to show them how to improve. I value independent work as well as collaboration, with myself or with other students. Further work and consolidation will be highly recommended to the student to do in their own time, as homework. Any work done in between lessons can be looked over with or without the student, and any problems or questions discussed at the start of the next lesson.
