About Sol
I am a professional musician and music teacher. I perform regularly in bands playing guitar, bass, and singing. Teaching is an important part of my career, I find it exciting to be able to help people at the start of their experience with learning music or help them progress by achieving the goals they want to achieve. Originally born in Glasgow, I am now based in Leeds. I have been teaching for 4 years privately and as part of institutions. I am happy to teach all different genres but I particularly enjoy teaching folk music, rock & pop, and musical theatre. I individually tailor my lesson for my students as I believe everybody needs a unique approach to learning. If you have any questions please send me a message.

In my lessons I like to develop a positive relationship with music, hoping to encourage further learning and enthusiasm around music. Through learning songs that you enjoy I can highlight areas for improvement and will work with you to build a practise routine that will help you to improve. By focusing on your goals, be they grade ordinated or not, we can work together and through hard work and practise you will be able to see clear progress in your instrument or voice. I have worked with a wide range of ages and abilities so all are welcome in my lessons. They are typically thirty minutes to an hour, weekly or every other week. Lessons with me would take place at Leeds community venue 'The Attic' It is a lovely, private space with excellent facilities, a cafe next door and an upright piano.
