About Edi
I have a lifetime of teaching and performing experience and have taught all ages both privately and in schools, some of whom themselves have become professional musicians. That, however is not the priority. A sense of individual enjoyment and progress and sense of achievement is my aim for each student. I have received a Vita award for a movie theme and sang on the balcony from where Nelson Mandela gave his first public address in Cape Town, after his release from Victor Verster prison. Over the years, in addition to scores of learners of different ages,I have successfully taught a woman with very little hearing, a boy with learning challenges and many older "bucket listers" !

I will teach whatever you wish to learn within the contemporary music idiom!
As a self-taught ear musician, I have some insight into the learning process and approach each class individually according to needs and accessibility. I use music software as well as personalised video and mp3 support for each individual or group. Most online lessons are via Zoom.
