About Rose
Hi! I’m a Musical Theatre performer and singing teacher based in London. I recently completed my MA in Musical Theatre Performance at Trinity Laban, where my training included singing technique, 1-to-1 singing and acting through song.
I’ve been singing and performing for many years and now teach singing privately alongside my own performance work. Singing is not just about getting the notes right. Confidence, storytelling and actually feeling comfortable using your voice matter more to me.
I’m originally from China and speak native Mandarin and fluent English, so I’m very happy to teach bilingually or explain vocal concepts in Mandarin when that’s helpful.
I’m friendly, patient and genuinely enjoy helping people discover what their voice can do. Whether you’re singing just for fun or working towards a performance or audition, you’re very welcome!

I don’t use the exact same exercises for everyone. We’ll start by figuring out what’s happening with your voice and what you actually want to improve, then work from there.
Depending on your goals, we can work on range, breath, resonance, registration, high notes, vocal confidence and finding a more comfortable sound.
I like to connect exercises to real songs, so you understand why we’re doing something and can actually hear the difference when you sing.
Bring me a song you love, a Musical Theatre piece or audition material and we can work through it together. I’m also very happy to suggest repertoire if you have no idea what to sing!
Lessons are usually 60 minutes and are suitable for complete beginners through to developing singers and performers.
There’s no pressure to sound “good” before you come. That’s literally what lessons are for :)
