About Rachel
I am a musician in Cornwall with over 10 years experience in brass and woodwind. I have been tutoring students within brass bands and music groups for several years, these students range from absolute beginners who were learning to read music to students who needed assistance progressing with their chosen instrument/s. I have tutored and supported secondary school students through their music medals and grades, all of which have passed and progressed to the next step in their musical journey.

My method of teaching greatly relies on the student. If the student prefers to learn in a certain way I can adapt my teaching to accommodate that. I always start my lessons with a recap of the last lesson, reviewing how much they understood and going over things they weren't so sure about. If it is the first lesson then it will mostly involve getting to know each other and understanding what it is that the student wants to learn and discussing the best way to help them reach their goals.

Details
If you need to cancel a lesson at any time I would greatly appreciate 24 hours notice. I do not have a set travel fee but if an excessive amount of travel is needed to teach the lesson then I may need to charge extra to accommodate this, this will be discussed in advance. Lesson price can also be negotiated if necessary.
