About Aisling
I have spoken the Irish language from a very young age. It was a big part of my childhood as my mother was an Irish Teacher at secondary level. I attended an all Irish-speaking primary school and once I reached second level, I received awards for top grades in my Irish exams. I went on to study Irish as my Bachelor of Arts Major. I spent 7 years working in a Gaeltacht where I became the staff supervisor.I have given Irish grinds for more than 15 years. It is very rewarding to see my students thrive and feel confident while studying Irish. My love for the Irish language continues to grow and I hope to continue sharing this love with my students and give them the support they need.

While learning Irish at any level, Particularly at second and third level, can be daunting and frustrating, I believe it can be taught with an interesting, fun yet concise approach. I am of the opinion that a lot of pressure arrises for students throughout the Irish curriculum and therefore students begin to dislike the subject, however once they have the knowledge and confidence they need, they might actually start to enjoy learning Irish. It is important to mention that I will not do the students work for them but give them the information, support and guidance they require to tackle any assignment confidently.
