Hello! My name is Kathy and I am a law undergrad at Cardiff University. I achieved a grade 9 (A**) in English Literature and a grade 7 (A) in English Language at GCSE and then went on to achieve an A in my English Literature A-Level.

Depending on whether we are studying poetry or books/plays, I will plan my lessons around key themes/characters.
Firstly, I will start the lesson with a small test on quotes in order to keep important quotes ticking over throughout my tutoring.
Then when focusing on certain characters and themes we will create mind maps with key quotes and chapters (for the books/plays) along with comparisons.
For poetry, this could be with different poems and with books/plays, it could be different character comparisons or developments alongside key themes surrounding this
